Company Policies

Company Policies master is used to set/allow different important policies for the company. Company Policy can be set based on Roles, Users and Transaction type. These policies also govern control over the Business Process Transactions.

Steps to Set Company Policies

  1. On the Admin menu, in Company Group, click the Company Policies. The Company Policies window opens as a tab in the workspace.
  2. The workspace is divided into two parts. The Left side is the Companies frame and the Right side is the Company Policies frame.
  3. On the Left hand side of the workspace on the Companies frame click on search icon and select the company.

The user has to simply follow the steps one by one as below:

  • Click on search icon and selector enter Role, User, Branch, Transaction Type, Policy, Tax, Allow and Days.
  • Tax: This search icon will be visible only if the Policy Tax Editing is allowed.
  • Allow: Check the box Allow to keep the selected policy allowed.
  • Days: Enter the no. of days for the policy to be allowed / valid.

The various available Company Policies are listed below:

  • Allow Default Executive Editing: This policy allows user to edit default executive at transaction level.
  • Allow Duplicate Supplier Invoice No. / DM No. and Date in Purchase: This policy allows user to enter duplicate supplier invoice no. / DM no. and date in purchase document.
  • Allow Editing of From Date and To Date in Sale Contract: This policy allows user to edit from date and to date in sale contract.
  • Allow Editing System Generated Item Code: This policy allows user to edit system generated item code. User can manually enter item code.
  • Allow Loyalty Point Redemptions/Transfer with OTP: This policy allows user to redeem and transfer customer’s loyalty point with One Time Password.
  • Allow Post Dated Bank Instrument: This policy allows user to create transaction with post-date bank instrument.
  • Allow Purchase Invoice above Credit Limit: This policy allows user to create purchase invoice above the suppliers credit limit.
  • Allow Sale below Cost: This policy allows user to sale item/service below its cost.
  • Allow Sale Invoice above Credit Limit: This policy allows user to create sale invoice above the customer’s credit limit.
  • Cancelled Transaction/Quantity Editing: This policy allows user to restrict the transaction and quantity editing.
  • Contact Group of Account Type Is Mandatory Customer: While creating customer this policy makes contact group mandatory whose group type is account
  • Contact Group of Account Type Is Mandatory Supplier: While creating supplier this policy makes contact group mandatory whose group type is account.
  • Create/Edit Back Dated Transactions: This policy allows user to create and edit back dated transaction.
  • Create/Edit Previous Financial Year Transactions: This policy allows user to create and edit transaction done in previous financial year.
  • Disable Account If Configured: This policy allows user to disable any configured account which is no more to be used in transaction.
  • Discount Editing: This policy allows user to edit the default discount.
  • Duplicate Row: This policy allows user to add multiple duplicate row for same item.
  • Exchange Rate Editing: This policy allow user to edit exchange rate editing at transaction level.
  • Gross Rate Editing: This policy allow user to edit gross rate at transaction level.
  • Min Stock Level Transaction: This policy allow user to create transaction even at minimum available stock level.
  • Multiple Appointments on Same Date: This policy allows user to take multiple appointment on same date.
  • Negative Bank Transaction: This policy allows user to create transaction without any bank balance.
  • Negative Cash Transaction: This policy allows user to create transaction without any cash balance.
  • Post-Dated transaction: This policy allows user to create post-dated transaction.
  • Rate Editing: This policy allows user to edit rate at transactions.
  • Show Stock Info: This policy allows user to view stock information at transaction document.
  • Allow Tax Editing: This policy allows user to edit tax at transactions header level.
  • Without Install base: This policy allows user to prepare Service Appointment, Service order and Service Invoice without install base.
  1. Press Ctrl S or click the Save button on the Quick Access Toolbar to save the Company Policies.
  2. Click Yes button for the message ‘Are you sure you want to Save.’
  3. Click OK button for the message Company Policies: ‘xxx’ has been saved successfully’.
